
CLUB COMPETITION
On Sunday 9th February, Eccles will be hosting a fun recreational club competition. All gymnasts in recreational and ninja gymnastics classes are welcome to participate. Gymnasts can wear a leotard, or shorts/leggings and a t-shirt, for the competition.
Gymnasts will each perform a routine on the floor exercise for this competition. Each gymnast competing will receive a participation medal on the day. There will also be 1st, 2nd & 3rd medals awarded in each competition category.

Groups will be arranged by routine selected and age group. There will be an area in the hall for spectators during the competition.

FAQs for the CLUB COMPETITION
Q: Where will I find my child's competition time?
A: A timetable was emailed to all competition entrants on Saturday 1st February. Please refer to this email. If you registered for the competition and didn't receive the email, please email ecclesgymclub@gmail.com

Q. What should my child wear for the competition?
A. This is a fun, friendly competition. Gymnasts can wear a leotard, or shorts/leggings and a t-shirt.

Q. Does my child need to know their routine by heart?
A. No, gymnast's do not need to know their routine by heart. Judges will call out the skills to any gymnast that need assistance during the routine.

Q. Will I be able to watch the competition?
A. Yes, there will be a spectator area.

Q. I have two children in the gym. Can their competitions be run at the same time?
A. Unfortunately, as we have over 300 gymnasts in the competition, we cannot arrange for all siblings to compete at the same time.

Q. Will my gymnast be with their regular group for the competition?
A. No. Gymnasts will be grouped according to routine selected and their age. Groups will consist of roughly 15 gymnasts.

Q. Do gymnasts perform the routines all together as a group?
A. No, each gymnast will perform their routine individually at one of the 5 floors.

Q. Is there anything else my gymnast needs on the day?
A. Gymnasts should also bring a bottle of water with them.

Q. Will gymnasts receive their scores?
A. No, this is a friendly fun competition. We will not be releasing any scores. (Note that the judges are all fully qualified Gymnastics Ireland judges)
